DO!T FREEWAY Explores Running Stories, #yourrunyourway
East China's first DO!T FREEWAY Treadmill Training Camp was held at the "GE Runner's Home" a subsidiary of Mega Wade Fitness in Shanghai.
The camp is contstructed like a glass house by the Huangpu River that warms both soul and space when greeted by the morning winter sun.
The mandate of this first community store in Shanghai is to spread public awarenss on the benefits of running and creating stories out of each run.
Leveraging on the after-glow of the recent Shanghai International Marathon, participants get to reignite their spirits on how they can do better the next time round in this camp.
This training camp uses DO!T FREEWAY, which provides two running modes: motor-driven mode and user-driven mode without using electrical power. This new feature was developed for the diverse needs of runners. Combined with new running training methods, we are able to now meet the needs of participants at different levels to enhance the joy of running.
Compared with traditional treadmills, DO!T FREEWAY is equipped with a built-in 6-horsepower AC motor and incline motor, which can perform two training modes: free running without speed limit and motor-driven running. It offers more training choices than traditional treadmills.
At the same time, the belt treadmill design has an extraordinary shock absorption performance, allowing users to experience very comfortable strides that absobs shocks from joints but not overly doing so at push-offs. Compared with traditional treadmills, these slat based belts are each mounted on bearings that reduces friction and therefore bringing you the quietest treamill in its class.
The simple and easy to use console combined with quick control keys allows users to focus more on the workout then learning about controls.
The console comes with speed and incline quick keys located ergonomically, allowing users to zoom right into their desired running zone in the quickest fashion.
The LED console has provides various training modes (time, heart rate, maximum heart rate percentage, distance, calories, interval training, etc.), meeting different training needs.
We conducted follow-up interviews with the participants of this DO!T FREEWAY Running Training Camp, let's hear what they say...
Jay: "For treadmills, I didn't have any special feelings. I felt that ordinary treadmills hurt my knees just like road running. But through this running training camp, I realized that treadmills can be different. This belt-type treadmill is very comfortable and natural to run on, and the sound is also very quiet. As a personal trainer, I might prefer to have my members do aerobic training on this kind of platform. Running courses are also very practical for us coaches, as it immediately broadens the scheduling ideas, helps to diversify personal training courses, and targets running enthusiasts. Additionally, half of the content covers all the basic content of CPT, helping coaches who have passed the CPT exam to review the content, while those who have not passed the CPT exam can also learn the relevant knowledge of the energy system in a concise manner."
Mxd: "This belt-type treadmill has shattered my perception of traditional treadmills. The treadmill is very smooth, maximizing the absorption of impact during the running process, reducing the impact wear and tear on the joints. At the same time, this treadmill has no speed limit, and I can control and improve my running speed well. Training for marathons on this treadmill is also no problem. The training about running has given me a deeper understanding of running. The teacher vividly taught us running knowledge through courseware, language, and practical training actions: pre-class warm-ups, muscles that need to be relaxed and activated, the arrangement of training plans during class, the use of interval rest training plans, post-class cooling, and some common principles of sports injury solutions, all of which are very useful to me. And I have experienced more training choices, my scheduling ideas have been quickly widened, which is helpful for the diversity of personal training courses and the targeting of running enthusiasts. For me, this training camp was very worthwhile."
Finally, thanks to GE Runner's Home for its strong support for this event, let's #Runyourownway
